Traditional Signwriting, Hand Painted Signs and Murals
Introduction
Goodsir Sign Co is a traditional sign-writing studio based in Woodford, run by Nicholas Goodger. I have worked with a wide range of businesses creating custom hand painted signage, gold leaf work and murals to meet their specific needs. Starting with a simple conversation and site visit if necessary, providing a quote, then supplying a pencil sketch or design before executing the artwork onsite or in my studio. Along the way working with people to understand what is going to suit their business best.
Now specialising in traditional sign-writing, hand-painting signs and creating illustrations as well as producing artwork for gallery exhibitions. His work is bold, colourful, and often quite playful, with flowing line work and solid blocks of colour used throughout.

Verandah Beecroft Mural
Designed and hand-painted for Verandah Beecroft Bowling Club, this mural was developed in response to the client's brief to highlight the women who have been vital to the club's history. The design incorporates key elements of the club’s existing branding and colours, blending tradition with a fresh, illustrative approach.
Artwork for The Nags Head Hotel
These illustrations and signs were created as part of a refresh for The Nags Head Hotel in Glebe, Sydney. Inspired by the stained glass and architectural elements from the historical building, the design introduces a fresh visual element while still feeling at home within the venue’s rich history.
